Information You Provide

San Jose Learning Center receives information that you choose to provide when you contact us, request information, or enroll in a class. Enrollment and payment may be completed through Active.com, which operates under its own privacy notice.

Evaluation and Teacher Demo Scheduling

Our Larry Mandarin Evaluations scheduling tool supports Mandarin evaluations and teacher Zoom demos. Students provide their name, email, learning experience and, for phone evaluations, a phone number. Staff scheduling a teacher demo provide the teacher's name, teaching languages and resume. We use these details to arrange appointments, conduct evaluations or demos, recommend classes and follow up on school enrollment. Students do not need to sign in to Google to book an evaluation.

Google Calendar Access and Use

Authorized staff may connect their Google account. With their permission, the scheduling tool accesses their Google email address, Calendar free/busy information and events on calendars they own. It uses this access to check scheduling conflicts and to create, read, update or cancel evaluation and demo appointments. Other Calendar events are used only to check busy times; their titles and details are not displayed to students.

We store the connected Google email address, access and refresh tokens, and appointment identifiers and Calendar links in private server storage. Tokens allow the tool to continue scheduling without requiring staff to sign in for every appointment. Booking records and resumes are available only through the applicable staff access controls. Uploaded demo resumes are not publicly accessible.

Appointment Information Shared with Services

Google receives the information placed in an appointment, such as names, appointment times, contact information, evaluation answers or demo languages, and meeting or rescheduling links. Evaluation invitations share the evaluation details with the student invited to that appointment. A demo event may contain a resume download link that requires an authorized school Admin login. For Zoom appointments, Zoom receives the name and scheduling details needed to create and manage the meeting. Google and Zoom handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Revoking Access and Deletion Requests

Staff may revoke the scheduling tool's Google access at any time through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops further authorized Calendar access; it does not automatically remove existing appointments or school booking records. We keep booking records for appointment management and school follow-up. To request deletion of stored Google connection data, booking details or a resume, contact info@sanjoselearningcenter.com.

Necessary Technologies

We use technologies that are necessary for website security and core functions. These may include a cookie that stores your privacy choices and Google reCAPTCHA on pages containing protected forms.

Optional Analytics

If you allow Analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand website visits and performance. Google may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and interaction data. Analytics does not load until you choose to allow it.

Optional Advertising

If you allow Advertising, we use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to measure advertising results and understand whether an advertisement led to a website visit or enrollment action. These services may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, and interaction data. Advertising technologies do not load until you choose to allow them.

Your Choices

You may accept, reject, or customize optional technologies through the website privacy controls. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the footer. When we receive a Global Privacy Control signal, optional analytics and advertising remain disabled.

Third-Party Websites

Links to Active.com, Google Maps, Yelp, Facebook, Nextdoor, and other third-party websites take you to services that have their own privacy practices. This notice applies only to the San Jose Learning Center website.
